Aircraft price difference beween US and EU.

Does anyone have a rough percentage guide to gauge the difference in price between GA aircraft sold in the US and those sold in Europe?

Cheers!

Aircraft price difference USA/UK

The basic rule of thumb is that whatever the cost in dollars in the USA is will be a similar price in Sterling by the time it arrives in the UK.

Probably more now that the cost of an EASA C of A has increased.

It's easy enough to research US prices. Look at Barnstormers/ Tradeaplane/ Controller web sites, assume about 10% haggling margin for the sale price.
Add to that the cost of ferrying or dismantle-container shipping-reassembly, VAT etc and you may find a lot of the difference evaporates.

You may find a good deal because of the state of the market, but you need to tread carefully and do your research.
