Question French NOTAM covering UK Airspace???

Slightly puzzled...was checking for this weekend and saw the NOTAM below on NotamPlot. On checking I realised that it had been promulgated from the French authorities - but 50% of it is in UK airspace and it covers SE Dover.

I can't find any reference to it on the AIS website - surely a Point Brief for 60nm around EGKH (Headcorn) would detect it.

3 questions:
  • Am I missing something on the AIS website?
  • Does a French NOTAM have any legitimacy in UK airspace?
  • Do I now need to check French NOTAMS to fly in SE England?

Are you confusing the way NotamPlot throws up lots of circles when displaying NOTAMs with...

LATERAL LIMITS:
CORRIDOR OF 3.6NM WIDTH WITHIN FRENCH FIR WITH FOLLOWING PSN

...from the actual NOTAM?

Roffa,

Thanks for the response.

I'm familiar with the quirks of NotamPlot.

What raised a doubt in my mind that I might have missed something on the AIS website was the conflict between:
  • WITHIN FRENCH FIR
  • The northern 2 corners of the corridor being on the UK mainland

When I read the French NOTAM I was half expecting a UK NOTAM covering the other half of the box.

As a general comment, it is perfectly normal to get a notam covering non-UK airspace from the UK notam website.

There is no need to brief from NATS for UK airspace, brief from the SIA for French airspace, etc.

A Narrow Route Briefing from NATS is good for worldwide flying.
