Looking for N-reg hire / aircraft share
Hi there
I am looking for N-reg aircraft hire or aircraft share in the South East England (preferably in the Biggin Hill area). I have a FAA SEP/MEP IR and am looking for a good IFR tourer for personal use.
Preference would be for a Diamond DA40 or DA42 or failing that something that has a 140kts+ cruise. Have also considered a TB-20 but can't seem to find any on the N-reg. De-icing capability would be an added bonus.
Have had a look at the SR20/22's in Denham but for that price range would prefer to be flying a light twin.
Have trawled through the adverts on Flyer and Pilot but can't seem to find something that quite fits the bill when measured against speed, cost and distance to travel to airport.
Any thoughts / suggestions on where to look from the broader community would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

There was a guy who advertised somewhere else advertising 1/4 shares in a Biggin based TB20. Don't have the details to hand at the moment but I can drop you a PM with them - probably mid afternoon UK time.
Change to that - the ad has disappeared from where it was posted. However, there can't be that many Pale Blue 'N' reg TB20's based at Biggin. Some legwork may pay dividends.

Thx Chilli - I think I have seen pale blue TB20 at Biggin. Will take a walk around and see if I can find the owner. Or failing that leave a message on the windscreen

Thanks Nigel
I have flown from Rochester before and it is a great little airport. Only trouble is where I stay now it is more than an hour commute. With 2 young children under 8 adding an hour to the flying either side turns out to be problematic.
Thanks for the offer anyway.

Sorry to hear of your commuting problem, as you say Rochester is a good place to fly from and the Arrow is an excellent example of the breed. If you want to further tempt ourself to overcome the travel time I would be happy to meet you and take you for a flight.

ps any other readers of this thread who may be interested in a share please contact me, also possible non-equity.
