Volcanic ash - maps?

I guess volcanic ash isn't a big concern with the rain we are currently having... however where are the maps?

This NOTAM is still current but the link is dead:

Q) EGXX/QAFXX/IV/NBO/E/000/999/5300N01514W999
B) FROM: 11/05/25 08:00C) TO: 11/08/26 23:59 EST

E) UK CAA GUIDANCE REGARDING FLIGHT OPERATIONS IN THE VICINITY OF
VOLCANIC ASH IS AVAILABLE ON THE CAA WEBSITE The UK Civil Aviation Authority.
THIS GUIDANCE IS CONSISTENT WITH ICAO GUIDANCE AND ACCORDINGLY SHOULD
BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH ICAO DOC 019 VOLCANIC ASH CONTINGENCY
PLAN EUR AND NAT REGION. IT SHALL APPLY TO ALL ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED
WITH THE RESTRICTIONS OF FLYING WITHIN THE LONDON, SCOTTISH, SHANWICK
(NOTA SOTA) AND SHANNON FIR/UIR.
VOLCANIC ASH CONCENTRATION CHARTS PROVIDE FORECASTS OF HIGH, MEDIUM
AND LOW CONTAMINATION AREAS AND ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE UK MET OFFICE
AT HTTP://WWW.METOFFICE.GOV.UK/VOLCANO/PUBLIC
THESE CHARTS PROVIDE FORECASTS FOR SIX HOUR PERIODS, THEY ARE VALID
FOR THE SIX HOURS PRECEDING THE VALIDATION TIME, THEREFORE A CHART
WITH A VALIDATION TIME OF 1200 IS VALID FOR THE PERIOD 0600-1200.
ONLY NOTAM ISSUED BY THE CAA SHOULD BE USED TO DETERMINE AREAS OF
MEDIUM AND HIGH ASH CONTAMINATION AND ANY TEMPORARY DANGER AREAS
ASSOCIATED VOLCANIC ASH

Try the same address with volcano/public in lower case.

Volcano is paused at the moment so there aren't actually any maps but the page is still live.

Ah, thanks. Perhaps the Met office should set up /VOLCANO/PUBLIC as an alias to /volcano/public as I can't be the only person caught out by this!

What Volcanic ash

Tim all the aircraft that you fly were inspected last year for volcanic ash IAW the instructions issued by the CAA.

Nothing whatsoever was found during these inspections.

For VFR piston engine aircraft the no fly zone farce last year cost a lot of money and did nothing for flight safety let's hope we don't have a re-run of the stupidity.

Stupid people, issuing notams with a URL and not making sure the URL works...

In general, URLs are not case sensitive on the main domain name so e.g.

is not going to be case-sensitive, but anything after the first / will be.

Email addresses are not case sensitive at all.
