Enstone Airfield - update today

According to the Enstone Aerodrome website the owners have put an application for planning permission to build industrial units on the runway and close the airfield.

Will there be any aerodromes left to land at?

I was there a couple of weeks ago. BAD news.. However, there is a LOT of space up there off the runway. Surely industrial units and the runway could co-exist.

Bloody shame
