Q) EGXX/QAFXX/I/NBO/E/000/999/5552N00617W999
B) FROM: 11/04/07 00:01C) TO: PERM
E) RNAV5, BASIC AREA NAVIGATION (BRNAV).
DELETE 'ABOVE FL95' TO AMEND GEN 1-5-7 ITEM 3.2.1, DATED 7 APRIL 11,
TO READ:
3.2.1 GENERAL. ALL AIRCRAFT, OTHER THAN STATE AIRCRAFT, OPERATING IN
EN-ROUTE CONTROLLED AIRSPACE WITHIN THE LONDON AND SCOTTISH FIR/UIR
SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH, AS A MINIMUM, RNAV EQUIPMENT MEETING RNAV5
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS SET OUT IN ICAO DOC 7030

Presumably this does not include ad hoc Class D transits, VFR or IFR

This is a prelude to the introduction of PBN into the LTMA and further afield over the next few years. It will also help when NERL start turning off some of the en-route VORs.

Good question about transits, though.
