ZA, you have a pm.
Edited to add; since I first posted back in April several posts have been removed which at this late date may affect your perception of events. As for my intentions - I would have thought they were perfectly clear from my first post - to get as much help as possible for PP both physical and monetary.

You are quite correct, they do support a lot of charities, not least of all the one I helped to set up, Flights for LIfe (sorry for the plug!)
This weekend is the annual Wickenby Wings and Wheels event, so could I please ask you all to come to Wickenby this weekend and support the event and have a great day out.
Many thanks
TKR

Terry, I would love to come but unfortunately I have a prior commitment. Hope it all goes well, especially the weather.

'Went the day well' Wickenby..
Yes a perfect day thanks to PROJECT PROPELLER and our generous pilot Allan Elliot of Blackpool, who treated us like royalty.
Cliffnemo at Liverpool Airport.
Twenty minutes dual outward bound , and same on return. I flew the Cessna over my old station Hemswell 150 Sqdn. Perfect visibility, beautiful sunny day
Many thanks to Nick and Nigel of Project Propeller for the perfect organisation of a perfect day. The buffet, flypast, museum FANTASTIC.

Landing charges.
It is also worth noting that in my experience the airfields where you pick up the veterans are also happy to waive all fees. I was not aware Wickenby was charging and have always assumed the host airfield waived landings fees and made money on other areas such as fuel, catering, etc. as well as good publicity.

Cliff (and everyone else) there are lots more photos in the link on here. This thread on Flyer is useful for anyone who may wish to contribute to PP.
Edited to add that on the one occasion I was able to fly a Veteran the Aero Club paid for the insurance, the pick-up and drop-off airfield waived not only the landing fees but also the overnight parking - a very generous gesture for which I was very grateful. As a club member there were no landing fees at the home airfield which is why they contributed the cost of the insurance as well as making absolutely certain that there was a club aircraft available for me.
