End of airports in Czech Republic
If you fly to Czech Republic, and like many grass of paved small unattended airports, this will be bad news for you.
Many of these airports originated as a cold war military airports or back up grass airstrips. Army built these airports on someone elses land, without permition of landowner, and landowner still remained owner of land bellow the runway. These airports are in operation, because Czech Aviation authority, considers Army airport owner, so army can sell, or lease their airport to operator. Sevaral investors even bough some of these airports in false hope, that they will make fortune on it. Unfortunatedlly, high court ruled that rights of landowner are higher then owner of piece of tarmac, or just grass rwy in many cases.
This will be very slow end of many Czech small airports.
