File .nmea of my flight into Google Earth

Hi guys,

I have a nice and small GPS logger where I can record my flight.

I have a question for you... the file output is *.nmea. To import it nicely in Google Earth do you know any trick?

I'm using a Mac.

Tks !

M.

There is an on-line resource that will convert from NMEA to G-Earth's KML format here: NMEA to KML converter
For use on your own computer there's a free application here: GPSBabel: convert, upload, download data from GPS and Map programs

What make / model GPS logger do you have? I'm looking to buy one, but don't know what to go for. Many don't mention the logging frequency in the specs online - it would be useful to know if they log the position every x seconds / or minutes or whatever.

I'm also using a Mac (most of the time anyway) so compatibility with that if it uses proprietary software to extract / convert the data would be nice.

I have a RBT-2300. I found it on ebay for 35 dollars.
It has a software included where you can set up which data you want to record and the loggin frequency (between 1 minute e 99).
