Nearest strip to Staffs showground???

Hi, bit of a long shot but I am trying to find details for the nearest useable airstrip to the Staffordshire County Showground. It can be short / farm strip etc. Would be grateful for any leads, Thanks in advance!

I think the runway at Hixon is still useable. Not sure of the contact details but there is a helicopter operator right at the edge of the site who would know for sure. Try Google.

SEIGHFORD – GLIDER site might accept you and really close.

OTHERTON
ABBOTS BROMLEY

Or TATENHILL if all else fails?

Thank you Rod1 and Muffin. I was unable to track down the Helicopter operator at Hixon and left several messages on Hixon Airfield Services answer phone to no avail. I contacted the gliding club at Seighdford but their planning restriction limits use by powered aircraft to those directly associated with glider ops. They did tell me of a hard strip just over the fence but couldn’t track down any contact details. Otherton provided the solution, very accommodating, free landing and plenty of helpful aviators at the field. Taxi ride to the showground and job done
