Tachometer hours for Grob 109 B

Can the Grob engine in the Grob 109 Touring Motorglider be equipped with a "classic" tachometer with an RPM-dependent hours counter? It seems that all factory installs are 1) a tachometer w/o hours, plus 2) a Hobbs-like clock recording plain clock-time, either airborne or total time. We need to distinguish between leisure flying hours at low RPM and cruise "transportation" at comparatively high RPM in our G109.

I suppose you could fit some kind of data logger connected to rpm?
All that stuff seems to be cheap as chips today.(geddit?)
