Not sure where you picked that up from but I think you are misinformed.
The fact is that the lease on the runway does not come up for renewal until the end of March 2011 so flying from the main runway can't possibly end before then.
After I read what you posted, I put some feelers out. I have been told by someone who IS in a position to know the exact position: flying will definitely continue until the end of March and very probably beyond then. How far beyond depends, I gather, on negotiations which are taking place now.
I for one anticipate entering 'Enstone' in my log-book for quite some time to come.

Whatever happens to the hard runway I understand the Northside Grass strip will remain open.
Despite being labelled as a maintenance organisation, they have always welcomed visitors and are trying to accomodate more aircraft, but have limited space.
