Is it worth it?

Well, we all wonder sometimes I guess.

However this reminds me that it is. It maybe be cold, but we have some glorious evenings this time of year. It is special watching the sun set from 3,500 feet on the way home, it is special the very first time and it will still be special the very last time (when ever that maybe).

Forgive me for sharing these from this evening.

Yes, it is. Just last week after a rather hellacious 10 days or so at work, got into the airplane one glorious morning and took off into the Blue Yonder. Over the mountains and far away...... just puts a lot of things in life into perspective.

Thanks for reminding us, Fuji !

That's a lovely sunset, only problem is at this time of year it's more like the middle of the afternoon rather than the evening!

Thank you for the nice comments guys.

Sadly the photos are not from the Windies or Merritt Island but just north of Selsey Bill - you can see the Isle of Wight in the distance.

It just goes to prove our sunsets are nearly as good as anyone elses.

What beautiful pictures ! Flight over water near sunset is also a sure winner to get first time passengers hooked for life.

Every flight is just wonderful...

Here's some sunset pics

The last one I got printed onto a matrix of 8 x 6 bathroom tiles and have it on a bathroom wall. Don't ask how much it cost.... it was done by a very nice expat Brit living in France, who adjusted the colours of the four glazes (he printed it CMYK) so that they came out as intended after the tiles were fired. Getting the grout mixed up differently for the different bits was fun too, and it didn't get done for a few years afterwards.

All above pics were around Sussex.

Now, I don't know if non-sunset pics are permitted in this thread, but the following (taken above the Alps around FL140) is 100% legal VFR (if you have an IMCR or an IR)
