I am starting a new contract in Hamburg after Christmas. 3-4 years there and looking on Google Earth there are quit a few fields within an hours drive. Does any one have recommendation's for renting the usual 172, PA28 types please? Good club type environment and nice aircraft are the main points of interest.

I've got no experience in general aviation, but I'm from Hamburg and I can tell you Uetersen and Lübeck (local aero club) are aerodromes popular with private pilots from Hamburg.

Thanks for the help. Will be flying into Lubeck before Christmas for a recce, how far from the terminal, which direction is the flying club? Also where should I aim for the Weinachts markt bitte? Oh and a good Kneipe for music food and naturlich der beste Deutsche beer.
