Not happy with the CAA serive? Bill them.

I was recently re-issued a Lifetime PPL. When I got it home I noticed that they had put an expiry date of January on the RT Licence, so I sent it back for correction.

I got no acknowledgement, and heard nothing for 2 months, so I sent them a reminder by email and got nothing but the standard reply.

So a month later I sent them another reminder. Same thing.

Fed up I emailed them a complaint, and an invoice for £195, for recorded delivery postage, stationery, time spent etc., etc.,I then sent the whole package by recorded delivery.

I received a phone call within one working day and my RT Licence appeared within a week.

Their cheque arrived in the post today.

Nice one. Works well with banks too! Got £80 out of them a few years back for suffering their incompetence over a painfully simple matter.
