Hi Satphone has gone u/s and he left it in Abuja on his way down. His tracking sysptem is also offline, possibly due to a loose power cable. Attempts are being made to locate where the hell he is. latest news is that he will have to land in Windhoek (eros) for fuel.

sad to say... the race is off... he has landed in Eros with complete radio failure... as well as a few other things that have gone wrong with the aircraft... Taff is off to a hotel to get some rest.
That is a great shame.
Did he fly through bad weather like Steve did, or were the technical failures down to something else? I imagine everything was tested exhaustively before he set off...

Website says severe storms ended up with a swimming pool in the cockpit, no COM (among other electrickery things) or ASI.
Good effort to make it safely onto the ground in Windhoek.

Well, I am starting to think that people should waterproof their aircraft before these flights! Sorry to hear he didn't make it, it must be very frustrating
