PPRuNe Fund, The Gatbash and a Fly-in
I have yet to put this to IFR and Stan Sted but will hopefully be seeing them next week and I will suggest it then. I have been thinking about this quite a bit lately, I feel uneasy about shelling out dosh to what could be described as middle class kids, but I would like to help the fund, or rather the cause. I have a share in an Aeroplane at Redhill, about as close to the GatBash venue as Gatwick is, and I was thinking of putting me and it at the disposal of the PPRuNe fund as a sort of taster for those Wannabees that haven’t flown yet. Air experience for the youngsters. I then expanded the thought to “why not organize a fly-in to Redhill to coincide with the Gatbash, and get others to do the same” I then discovered that it is on the same day as one of our dearest friends is getting married. Still, if enough people want to do it, I will gladly organize it, I just won’t be there that day.
If Stan IFR think it would be worthwhile I can try to do my contribution another day, if not I guess I will just throw twenty quid in the kitty like everyone else.
