C'mon, show us your Flying photos!
We live in the age of digital photography, and I'm sure I'm not the only one taking loads of snaps on weekend flights and posting them on the web! So, I wondered it it might be fun to post links to these photos here so we can all have a larf at each other!
I can start the ball rolling if you want to see some of my efforts:
Wycombe - Oxford via Chesham: http://community.webshots.com/album/26359234kxKyVpQKsJ
Wycombe - Wolverhampton: http://community.webshots.com/album/17868691VJuCCKWWNB

Nice one suction... Impressed with Flying In St Lucia - more exotic than local area! Still, let us know when the local area pics have been added!

Hey Guys,
I haven't yet embraced digital camera technology, but have been thinking of buying one for some time.
Has anyone got any advice/thoughts on what I should buy? (I guess I'm more of a happy snappy person rather than a serious photographer).

1.3VStall - I use a low-end small (easy to hold) Fuji one (model?) that I got about 18 months ago. I believe its 1.8 Megapixels in terms of resolution. Best things to look for are:
- optical zoom (for photographing things on the groung like people's houses)
- fully automatic
- fast PC interface (e.g. USB)
I'm thinking of upgrading to a later model like Fuji's 4900 (better zoom and higher res) - costs about £500 I think.
aerostar2 - Impressive! Flash, Quicktime movies and photos! I must try aeros I think!!!

Hi All,
I've posted a few local area pics at
http://community.webshots.com/user/shortfinals
as well. These are oldies taken when we had so much rain at the start of the year and you needed a float plane to taxi at Denham. Just to make things interesting - there's a disused in one of the pics (Clue: also has an NDB) - If you can name it - I'll stump up for your landing fees at our next fly-in. Unless that is, you role up in a King Air - in which case you can pay your own f'in fees
!!!!!! Best of luck !!!!!!
PS - Andy, thanks for the info on the digi cameras. I'm thinking of buying one myself as I currently have to perform sexual favors for the office secretary in order to get my prints scanned.

For those who do not want to spend lots on a digital camera that eats 'AA' batteries, there is a solution. Use your traditional stills camera and scan the photos into your PC. A scanner only costs about £50 and the results are great.

suction: Nice pics! I recognise the Bucks. area (presumably Denham and Wycombe both use this as training area). Couldn't see the disused in any of the pics (which one!?) but given the area and the clue I'm guessing its . _ _ / _ . _ . / _ _ _

Cahlibahn: You know I love your website in particular, when I was still training I really got value from your LANDINGS page at http://www.lindsay.flyer.co.uk/landing.htm - I think I emailed you at the time?
The photos of the Bonanza and the Robin look great! From the Lat/Lon, Top Farm mustn't be too far from me (I live near BNN VOR) so I might look it up and drop in and see if I can cadge a ride in one of those lovely planes
Cos Yes you can scan, but it just takes time... what I love about the digital cameras is that you can slap the memory into your USB reader when you get in and instantly share excellent hi-res pics on the PCs big screen with friends / family. With most of my family being back in Australia, I can also pretty much instantly upload the shots to the web (e.g. to www.webshots.com which I can recommend) so the folks back home can see what we're up to as well!

Have a look at www.cc.flyer.co.uk for a view of my ugly mug in a Chippy and Yak - and a link to a super tour around North Wales in the Chippy this summer.

Good plan, AA! Have just created a MSN community as a result.
Not really flying, but here's one of me after my first solo. Grin took over 7 hours to disappear. Instructor looks happy to have a/c back in one piece
Hersh's First Solo
Not long before I'm getting pics like Stiknruda's
