600nm Cross Country
Just got back from flying to Seattle from Palo Alto, California. We made a stop in Medford, Oregon for airplane and people fuel.

Glad you enjoyed the piccies!
We had those bag things that turn "it" into an "odourless gel" according to the blurb. Thankfully we didn't have to use them.
Suffice to say, the first and last thing on my mental checklist are the same have nothing to do with the aircraft... Not surprisingly, I never forget the last one but have sometimes omitted the first, which usually results in a quick flight!
Were we ever glad when we were cleared to land at Medford.
There were fires in Oregon on the way back due to lightening strikes, so I suppose we could've done our bit to help but I didn't particularly fancy freezing bits of myself, and we might have violated Part 91.15 of the Federal Aviation Regs by dropping items that may cause a hazard to a person or property
