Question License conversion JAR to FAA

I am looking at buying a share in an N-reg aircraft.. .. .I have a JAR CPL/ME/IR. .. .I would like to get FAA PPL/SE/IR priveledges to fly this aircraft.. .. .What would I need to do to get this? Can I do this without leaving the UK? Would it be any easier if I forget the IR and just get an FAA PPL?. .. .Many thanks in advance,. .foggy.

FAA Written Examinations can be completed outside of the US. I am not sure which testing centre's are still operating in the UK, but you can complete your written exams in Ireland with South Aer in Cork (EICK). Contact: +353 (0)21 4888 488. We also have FAA flight instructors and can arrange an examiner. Hope this can help!
