Thumbs up Project Propellor

Most of you probably already know about this, but for those who don't, Project Propeller involves taking former WW2 aircrew flying as a small gesture of thanks for what they went through on our behalf. This year it takes place at Duxford on 9th June and volunteers are still wanted. The project website is at www.projectprop.flyer.co.uk.

I've volunteered to be a pilot this year, and I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting my passenger - he's a flight engineer who flew between 1952 and 1954. He lives about 4 miles from my home, so we're going for a pint soon.

I know that the project sent out urgent requests for volunteer pilots in the North London area recently....
