fish Soggy Runways?

Hi All,

I'm sitting here in front of my iMac looking out the window at the grey, wet Luxembourgish skies, wondering what state the grass runways in the UK are in?

I wanna go flying!

Last time I had the heart to telephone Headcorn I was told that there were canoeists on theirs...

(I'm well aware that the Foot & Mouth disaster makes this a moot point at the moment, but I'm assuming that restrictions will be removed in the nearish future).

I dunno about Canooists - Headcorn is shut now, for the duration, due to foot and mouth. Rochester is also pretty soggy - closed yesterday but a slight possibility of being open today.

Not a good winter Tricks! Panshangar was mud, mud and more mud yesterday (still flew though ), Rochester was closed with waterlogging and Popham has been shut on and off for weeks. Oh well I am sure Mother Nature will make up for this in Spring & Summer by giving us weeks of glorious flying weather

I'm training at Redhill... the airfield is now listed as an honourary part of the Lake District.

The instructors are taking off and landing from the taxiway, but as it's only about 4 ft wider than the undercarriage of a C152, I'll be leaving that to the pro's!
