Light aircraft lands with parachute...

I wonder if this was an accidental or deliberate deployment of an emergency airframe parachute at the weekend.

BBC News - Two men uninjured after aircraft crashes in Oxfordshire

Seems to have landed with a deployed parachute but no obvious structural failure visible in the tiny photo, anyone heard anything about this?
