Renewing a UK PPL in the states?

Evening all - I let my UK PPL lapse about three years ago (stupid, stupid, stupid) and am now in the US and wondering about regaining it over here - is this possible?

And I don't suppose there's anyone here who glide's (sorry, soars!) in the Houston area?

For the time being at least, there are a number of schools in the US that offer JAA/CAA format training, for PPLs. Don't know of any in the Houston area, but there are plenty in Florida.

An example (but not a recommendation necessarily) is Britannia Flight Centre -

Thx 2 Donks, good to know it's possible, haven't been able to find a CAA school around Houston so it may mean a trip to the blue-rinse state...
