Cbeebies - Something Special

Nice to see Justin taking a flight with some disabled kids in an Islander on today's Something Special (I just caught the end of the flight but it was kosher i.e. actually filmed aloft. My son (a regular passenger of mine) was very happy with the authenticity including wobbly camera!).

A shame he stood rather too close to the prop on the final shot of the plane - bad example... - but nice to see some GA outside the fakery of 'Come outside'

The pilot of the dotty Slingsby is currently in Poland, leading the British team at the World Advanced Aerobatic Competition. His sage advice on the subject of the Slingsby footage is "always negotiate a repeat fee"
