Handhelp transceiver
All :
I'm off for 3 weeks to the US in Feb. I wondered if anyone out there has a hand-held transceiver that I could beg, steal or borrow for my trip ?
Suffice to say, any kit lent would be returned as delivered - any offers to my email, thanks.
Or, does anyone know of any second-hand or cheap ones - must be reliable, have at least 720 channels, and be able to be used in a Robbie ( helicopter ).

Icoms can be bought in the US for a lot less than here. Not sure how you would stand warranty-wise though.
Be sensible and discreet with it however. Some poor individual (Egyptian, I think?) got himself arrested because hotel staff reported him for 'having a radio capable of talking to planes.' The story is on Rumours and News.
