Thumbs up Fly-In

Somebody mentioned White Waltham as a good venue for a fly-in on a different thread.

Anybody up for it? My permit application is in and the wings didn't fall off in the Vne dive so I'm ready. Anybody else fancy it? Anybody got a good date to do it?

WW's good for me - nice venue. Annual just completed, tanks filled and bank emptied. (Have overdraft- will travel).
What about weekend 10/11 March?

PS How are the new struts bearing up LnS?

I'm up for it as it's homebase!! (Not Sainsbury's!)

Let me know if I can help with catering/separate room etc./landing fees?

Regards, it's a good choice!!

PS I can be there on the 10th

WE 10/11 should be good for me with the usual weather caveats.

The struts are fine thanks. They didn't let go in the Vne dive so they must be OK

WW is my home airfield. Excellent venue.
How do we recognise a PPRuNe arrival?

I'll wear my discrete Pprune badge -that'll test yer eyesight!!!
Call up Pprune fly-in on taxi in and I'll arrange parking north of the pumps or on the west line for all.

Good idea, time I froze my nadgers off in the flexwing again - I'll see if the weather and Mrs Genghis will let me out to play.

Cool

Capt Airclues - the best way to spot a PPRuNe arrival is to count the bounces.
(Percy himself would never consider less than three......)

If my memory serves me correctly, they were never able to use the aircraft again after one of Percy's landings.

I agree that in honour of the great ppercy, all prrune pparticipants in the pproposed pparty should pperform landings that "they can walk away from".

pps I bounced so much when checking out in a Cub at Waltham on Saturday that I have pprobably done enough 90 day landings to carry forward for the duration of my licence.

I shall try to come to the fly in in a ppup

I can only make it on Sunday. How about 12:30 ish (precision planning here). The forecast for Saturday is apparently pooh anyway.

I'll be in a yellow Cub G-BEUI. If spotted in the bar I'm the one with a bald patch, Vintage Piper Club badge and a Marlboro.
