Thumbs up Great day of flying. 5 Yorkshire airfields in one day.

Started out at Netherthorpe in G-PHUN. Decided to do a tour of Yorkshire.

Sandtoft was the first stop. Did not get the ideal transit with Doncaster so with the help of the GPS, we remained mainly clear of their airspace and went via Gainsborough. Similar to last time I went, fairly quiet and not much going on. Still a great runway though!

Next stop was Beverley. I have flown over here before, it is not the easiest place to find imo. Really surprised me this airfield, very friendly welcome and great food on offer. Look forward to re-visiting in the future!

Then on to Eddsfield. Interesting approach with the crosswind we had, over the trees and avoiding the telephone mast, I think clearing the trees made us a little too high during the touchdown. Nice caravan clubhouse set up, make sure you have correct change! Did not stop long as the wind was picking up so next it was on to Breighton.

Having flown nearly all of my 80 hours at Sherburn I was glad to finally visit Breighton. Live side join made it interesting, wouldnt like it if airfield was very busy. Nice selection of snacks and sandwiches with a honesty box for payment. We had lunch here and had a nosey around.

Before returning to Netherthorpe, this time Docaster gave us a transit and an uneventful landing on 24 brought us home. 3.1hours logged, 1.1 of which was mine.

Great day out, some lovely airfield round these parts.

Nice one Liam. Next time you're up this way do drop in to Bagby. We're friendly too, though sunday lunch at Netherthorpe takes some beating for quality!!.

The photo above is from my own Clarity. Not used the ones at Phoenix yet, they have the Aware model. Im not sure if it logs in the same way or not.
