Electronic ERSA, Lat Long Calculator etc
I am looking at mucking around with some bespoke flight planning tools as part of my uni software project and I am having problems working out how the following:
- Is there an electronic copy of ERSA Waypoints etc that I could load
- Are there any generic mapping API's out there that provide the various functions for calculating heading from 2 lat longs
Any advice appreciated

I'm not sure I know the acronyms that you're using, but try starting with Great Circle Mapper and Aviation Formulary V1.45

I don't think there's an e-version of the ERSA out there. Tried - and failed - to find one last year. You might, however, get more luck by posting this in the Downunder section of Pprune.
PS: ERSA is a sort of Oz Pooley / Jepp package. The way aeronautical info is organized Down Under is a bit different from what we northerners are used to.

The OZ national authorities got very uppity about their data and have successful extracted Megabucks from Aerad (or whoever they are at the moment) and have tried (but it is unclear if they succeed) to get money out of Jepp. In addition, I am lead to believe the Oz position was a factor in convincing the US government that the DAFIF data should no longer be publicly available (as they were republishing the data provided by every national AIP).
