Question Movement Book

What are the legal requirements for maintaining a movement book? Specifically interested in non-licensed strips!

TIA

It's not a legal requirement, but sensible.

I operate from a small club strip, which has the misfortune to be very close to a landmark used by all the locals LARS controllers as an unnofficial VRP.

The movements log means that we can always prove (well show strong evidence anyway) that the chap they're complaining about was nothing to do with us. Alternatively, if it was one of our mob, we know who to have a word with.

As on many other things, Geoff Farr's book "Country Flying" is worth reading on the subject.

It also helps the CAA cross check hours they suspect of being fraudulent (see other post on the forum). It's also handy if to prove to your partner that you were where you said you were!
