East Staffordshire Flying Club Charity Fly In, Saturday, 24th July
This year’s ESFC fly in is to be held at Tatenhill Airfield on Saturday, 24th July.
We have teamed up with the Sheldon Lions Club who will be collecting money for 2 young children, tragically orphaned when their parents lost their lives in an aircraft crash in Staffordshire in 2009.
In order to attract a variety of interesting aircraft we have invited along friends from both the Vintage Piper Aircraft Club and also the LAA. In addition we will have a number of classic cars on display and helicopter trial flights available with Staffordshire Helicopters.
Food, drinks and ice-creams available.
For those unfamiliar with Tatenhill, the main runway is licensed, 26/08 and 1180m long and, subject to weather, we hope to have a parallel grass runway available (approx 500m and unlicensed). Avgas will be available. For further detail, see AIP or VFR flight guide.
Sadly, we are unable to accept weight-shift microlights or non-radio arrivals.
Landing fees waived by the airfield operator for all arrivals.
For further details see http://www.esfc.org.uk/archive/FlyInPoster2010.pdf or contact [email protected]

Tatenhill Fly-In Sat 24th July!
We are hoping for excellent weather and a very good turnout on the day.
The grass runway will be open on the day (the only day of the year we do this) so please come and use it - especially after all the hard work put in cutting it!
We have chosen to support a local charity this year and I hope that you agree that it is a VERY worthwhile cause. We would like to hand over a decent amount to the family following the event - so please drop in and see us (even if you are enroute to somewhere else) you will be made very welcome.
Look forward to seeing you on the day!

Tatenhill Fly-In
Many thanks to all of you who flew-in and supported our Charity event yesterday.
We managed 80+ arrivals. A good mix of LAA, vintage and mainstream types including Stearman and a couple of flypasts by a Yak-11.
Well done to all involved.
