Runways or grass strips near Clitheroe

Hi Everybody,

first post , long time lurker , just wanted to start by thanking the day to day posters for their invaluable advice and comments over the years , good work all round I say.

I'm thinking of going to Clitheroe in Lancashire for the Beatherder festival this weekend and I was wondering what is the closest runway to the festival ?

thanks in Advance,

Blackpool is the nearest, unless you're coming over in a microlight. Should be possible to get a train from just down the road to Clitheroe from there.

There is, of course, the gliding site at Chipping. Not sure if they will accept powered aircraft. www.bfgc.co.uk
