VFR FRANCE JOUR 1:1000 000 or ?
Been a while since I flew to the continent and then I used USAF maps.
Is there any merit in the VFR FRANCE JOUR 1:1000 000 map or should I go with something else?
I will only be going if wx is good so don't really want to buy too many since they might not be used.

You can use the 1:1M SIA charts, the 1:500k IGN charts, or perhaps the 1:500k Cartabossy one.
The first one is, arguably, the most "official". The IGN ones are very pretty but only good up to about 5000ft which rules out the easiest long distance routes. The Cartabossy one seems to offer the best combination.
