Post A JOY FLIGHT IN UK?

Hi

I have a OZ CPL/ME IR and Instructor rating and will be travelling to the UK late March for 4 weeks for a holiday to see friends. I will be in Hampshire, close to Southampton. I would like to take a few friends on a joy flight.. .I dont think I can get a 'Special License' to fly Day VFR(like we give you back here) so I would need a Instructor to sit next to me. . .Can anyone recommend a flight school/company that could allow me to fly 'Under Supervision' and what sort of prices I would be looking at for a)C172 or b) Baron BE58. Flight time approx. 30mins-1 hour

Responses greatly appreciated.

I think you will find you can fly in the UK on your OZ licence, but most (ALL) clubs will want you to have a checkout before they let you fly without an instructor. Most 4 seaters will cost you around the £100/hr mark. Don't know about other types but Vectair (www.vectair.flyer.co.uk) at Goodwood (Chichester) have a 4 seater Robin that would fit the bill and is a nice machine to fly.

DWR,

There are two schools at Southampton, Solent Flight and Carill aviation, of the two the latter is superb with excellently maintained aircraft and good instructors. They are not the cheapest, you can check the website out for the latest prices. Compared to Aus prices you may come over a little faint so be prepared!!!!!. .Website is www.carillaviation.co.uk
