Hi 140,
There was a post on the Flying in Ireland forum a few weeks ago where someone was suggesting that they would be able to accept traffic to Innishboffin shortly.
However they have since deleted all their posts on the subject. I've no idea why, or if the original post was indeed genuine or not.

Hopefully guys, I'll have the keys in my hands in a few weeks time of both strips so i'll have the tea organised for you all and i'll run up the west end of bofin with my white paint and change 02 to 20 to avoid confusion!

The Sister-in-law Principle:
If you want to sleep with your wife's sister it is easier to be forgiven afterwards than it is to get permission from your wife beforehand.
The same rule applies when you want to do something that officialdom has control over.

Gardan Horizon ? Great a/c ! With the bonus of long legs
No one has mentioned Sligo. They'll welcome you - or, did - with wide arms. The town of Sligo is nearby. Gorgeous countryside

In Ireland, Visit Sligo, Waterford, Newcastle, Trim, Athboy, Trevet, Birr, Abbeyshrule, Bantry, ILAS Field and many others. All good airfields and all listed in the two VFR flight guides for the country.Lots to see and do.Have a look at the IAA's website for further info. You only need to file a flight plan when entering control zones or crossing borders.UK permit aircraft may fly here, too.

Just back from a stunning 3 day flight to Ireland WEST
Recommend Innishmaan on Aran islands near Galway 545 metres Tarmac runway and a fantastic island
Must go to sligo best airport on West coast and lovely town to visit
Beware cost of fuel £2.90 litre so plan to fill up in Enniskillen to save money or reclaim tax from Irish customs
Great scenery when sunny but plan for changeable or rainy weather
