Question Specialist Flying School Sandown (Isle of Wight)

Hello,

Looking at starting some PPL training for fun more then anything! Am based in Cowes on the isle of wight so ideally would like to learn here if possible.

Anyone have any experience of The Specialist Flying School in sandown?

Thanks

Starting learning to try "for fun" will be a VERY expensive way to enjoy yourself!

At £ hundred+ per hour if you're going to do this, decide why, what you expect to get out of it, what you want to do with a licence (when eventually you get one) and then.....

Look for a school which will suit your needs.

After all that, work out how to pay, and ensure that you don't hand over wads of money "in advance" of lessons. (You might lose it....)

And incidentally, I don't think there's an operational school at Sandown now, as it's been unlicenced for some time. (Something may happen again if training is allowed there in its unlicenced state)

Hardly a response designed to encourage a newcomer in to aviation!
You obviously don't work in sales do you?

Anyone based in cowes is really going to be stuck with whatever is available at Sandown or Bembridge, but I'm sure wherever he chooses he'll be delighted that he did!

If you're flying for fun then why not try fixed wing microlights, it's the most fun per £ that it's possible to have

Specialist Flying School Sandown
Why is it specialist? Caters for 6 fingers and webbed feet?

Thankyou G-Atlast.
