EGCF Sandtoft Aerobatic competition

Saturday 10/04/2010 Sandtoft hosted the Icicle & Newbold Trophies Aerobatic Competition.

After I had been flying myself I walked the flight line to capture the different types that were there for the Comp.

Well done to all the staff at Sandtoft for all the hard work they all put in to host this event, Nikky Evans was kept busy manning the radio & trying to keep track of all the take-offs & landings, Phil & Lenny the fire-fighters were kept busy fuelling the aircraft amongst other duties & all the Kitchen Staff who kept everyone fed & watered.

Great to see Sandtoft busy again.

Here are some of the photo's i took, due to not being able to post more that 15 photo's i have included the link to my site with loads more there.

Thanks for the comment.

There is a fly in planned at Sandtoft, for Saturday 29th May. So there should be many types the also the LNAA has been invited to attend.

Unfortunately i will be away on my hols in USA then so some one else is going to have to cover this event.

Will post a heads up nearer the time.

Cheers Trev

Very nice pics - shame I couldn't be there as I was on holiday. No shots of the actual aerobatics or was the competition box a bit far away?

I went looking for the comp box as the aircraft could be seen from Sandtoft but didn't find a route or safe parking near where they were over.

One of the guys that runs the aerobatic web site asked me for a disc of photo's so he could put some on the web site.

Here is the result;
