Is the Garmin Aera TIS compatible?

The website says NO but the user manual says YES...

I currently interface my ZAON XRX to my G496 and it works very well - good accuracy. I am considering buying the Aera but unless it can interface the the Zaon I'll have to go for a 495. Anyone interfaced a Zaon to the Area?
