Getting in a pickle

Since yesterday and my infringement into Stansted's CTR which I explained in the "Air Law Exam" thread, I was wondering what scrapes other students or even other qualified PPL holders have gotten into in their flying careers? They don't have to be your fault as such but there must be some good stories out there.
As well as giving us a giggle, I think it'll serve as a good learning tool for others that may get into the same problem or show us ways of getting out of them.

Well i'll confess...

QXC

Down to East Midlands following the M1 told to join right base for RW09. Before i could make the turn to fly to Right Base the door flew open. Forgot the most basic rule, Fly The Plane, and reached over to close it. Took me about 3 mins to close it but finally did. However i didn't realise that i was flying straight over the 27 Numbers. Good job no one was taking off. Got a good roasting from ATC and had to re do my QXC
