Musketeer
A stable practical, 100 kts, 550 NM, 2 seater aircraft.
3 to 4 seater with a reduced fuel load. (Like most small airplanes.)
Lower altitudes 95-100 Kts IAS and 100-105 Kts True at 1O GPH.
Higher , FL 65 - 75 you might get 95-100 IAS and 105-110 true airspeed, but it climbs like a brick, and a fuel flow of 8.5 to 9GPH at 75% (Wide open throttle and leaned) in the F-Levels.
8OO NM? No way, unless you want to glide the last part into your destination. NO - LOL.

Funny how such an old thread can resurface
I flew that plane eventually and all you guys said was true to the point. Never got it over 95 kts. Funny thing in that particular one is that it had a fake gear switch witch working lights. Was used for training apparently and had this gizmo installed.
When we got there, it had about 50 USG fuel on board which meant my wife had to stay behind. It was quite nice to fly but way too slow.
Since shortly after I started this thread, I am a very satisfied Mooney flyer as I finally bought the Mooney I mentioned in the thread. Much more satisfying.
