Help with Photo task Gibralter and Southern Spain

Just had a photographic task come in for a few towns along the south coast of Spain including the township of Gib.
Does anyone have any contacts/recommendations for Cessna 172 hire (plus safety pilot/instructor) in that neck of the woods?
Also i am in the dark in regards to any restrictions to overfly Gib from a Spanish base or any restricted areas as i have not even seen a chart as yet!
Sadly not viable to despatch one of our aircraft which are committed here.
The work is just flying grids shooting oblique's from which an artist can draw a town guide. Usually 2000 plus feet is about right.
Cheers, SB

It used to be that you couldn't fly direct from Spain to Gib - you had to route in via Tangiers or Portugal somewhere. Not sure if that is stilll the case or not.

These chaps (and chapesses) would probably be able to help. Just googled it - no knowledge of. - | Fly-in-Spain |- Spain, Jerez, Flight Training Rental, PPL-A-JAR Heli Helicopter PPL-H Holiday accelarated intensive

If you spell "Gibraltar" correctly you may get a better result!!

Spain to Tangier is possible, but Spain to Gib' was always a no no!!

Gibraltar

Hi I flew self hire from Malaga and was invited to fly over Gib by a British Warship on my route up to Jerez. Of course we could not land there.

Don't see a problem but perhaps you could get permission to overfly and take pics?

Flight plan need not show actual route in major detail as La Linea is effectively Gib??

Good luck

First of all, there is no restriction on flying between Spain and Gibraltar.

Second, send me a PM with a bit more details and I should be able to point you in the right direction.

Drop me a PM. We have an operating base in Seville and may be able to help with a suitable aircraft. I will be in Seville from this Thursday to the following Thursday and may be able to fly for you.

Thanks

I love the way these forums can be a real help - much appreciated fellas. I have enough leads from the pm's to get this delivered by hook or by crook, thanks again.

N.b. calling Gibraltar a 'township' is not going to get you off to a good start either!

Flown from AGP to GIB with no political issues. Found the Spanish quite helpful.
