29/8/09 CHERBOURG fly in and Barbeque
Just a short mention for anyone interested that Luc and Edith are hosting a barbeque and flyin at Cherbourg airport tomorrow lunchtime; the food's usually terrific and it's a really nice event and Luc and Edith deserve support for what is a really good day out. For anyone like me, who lives in the heart of Notting Hill's carnival, it's a damned sight better than the alternative....
PS I might have a spare seat...

Hear Hear!
We didn't know about the BBQ until we arrived, but Luc & Edith said "Hello, help youselves". It was one of the friendliest airfields we've every visited and the number of aircraft on the apron reflected that.
I wish L2K was like Cherbourg.
We flew on to Dinan for the weekend and I can recommend it as a destination. Its a very historic walled town with great walks and scenery, the hill is a little long & steep though.
