faa floatplane/tailwheel valid in ireland?

I'm planning on getting the FAA PPL while in the US for a few months, and I understand that I can then fly on that when I return to Ireland. However, finances allowing, I'd love to do some fun stuff, tailwheel endorsement, floatplane rating etc. and I'm wondering if these would also be valid in Ireland? It seems logical but thats not necessarily a good guide... Also, can anyone explain if the type rating system under JAA would affect me?
