RIP Serge Cuhat
Serge Cuhat of Jersey (CI) , an experienced balloonist, died after his balloon touched down on a mountain at 8000' on a flight from Switzerland to Italy last week.
He left the basket to secure the balloon, but the ground gave way under his feet and he fell a considerable distance. The accident was witnessed and a search and rescue chopper sent to the scene but he was dead when found.
Not strictly speaking an aviation accident, but aviation-related.
