JAA PPL (UK): TMG Rating must be done in UK too
suppose you have a JAR PPL issued in the UK and you wish to add a TMG rating.
Does the TMG rating have to be approved by a UK JAA Instructor w. TMG rating, or can any (JAA) instructor w/ TMG rating from say Germany or France also train and examine you so that it is also valid for the UK JAA authority to add the rating (if you pass the test) ?

TMG is a JAA rating therefore can be conducted by any qualified JAA instructor at a JAA Registered Facility or approved FTO anywhere. The examiner must hold a JAA Examiner rating and when completed submit the SRG1119 to Gatwick to have the Rating added to the UK issued JAA licence.
