CTSW Hours for SSEA
Can somebody holding a NPPL SSEA use hours flown in a CTSW to keep the NPPL SSEA up and running - or do they need to have undertaken the relevant hours in a traditional 'spam-can'?
Think someone is going to be disappointed - just need clarification!

Now that the transitional period for revalidating NPPLs onto the revised revalidation requirements has ended, any NPPL SSEA holder wishing to fly Microlights such as a CTSW must have a Microlight Class Rating included in their licence.
If the NPPL holder hasn't revalidated onto the revised revalidation requirements, his Class Rating(s) will no longer be valid and he will need to fly a GST for each Class Rating sought.
Assuming that the NPPL holder has revalidated onto the revised revalidation requirements, he will have both SSEA and Microlight Class Ratings included in his licence and may maintain the validity of both Class Ratings by the consolidated revalidation arrangements described in AIC 30/2008 (White 146).
If this comes as a shock to anyone, expect little sympathy. This change was announced well over 12 months ago - and if people haven't checked the AICs for that long.......
