Edinburgh Flying Club - 75 years old this year

2009 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of Edinburgh Flying Club Limited and I have taken on the task of producing a brief history of the club. From its foundation to the start of WW2 and then for a short period afterwards the club operated from Macmerry airfield in East Lothian to the east of Edinburgh. The early history is reasonably well documented but I am keen to find out more about the period from the mid 1950's to the late 1970's. Does anybody have any stories, photos or other information they would be willing to share.

I never knew Macmerry used to have an airfield!
