QXC done!

Hi everyone, completed my QXC today! Trip was Blackpool - Hawrden - Caernarfon - Blackpool. Was a very good day for it; no clouds, not much wind and very good vis.
Just need too finish the last few exams and then onto the skills test!

Congrats!! I fly from BPL and currently doing the XC routes. I've been told to expect Blackpool - Hawrden - Caernarfon - Blackpool so any tips on what to expect etc.. would be welcomed

Not long now for you then till that fateful day!! I must admit, I still find it a little strange to be off pottering around for a few hours without any words of wisdom from the FI. Think I'll miss him when my Dual time is up!!

Good look for the rest of it!

Hi
I can only speak for Caernarfon. It's a great place. fantastic radio service and warm welcome. would advise to be on top of the radio, as in early contact with Valley (if applicable.)

good luck

Excellent. My QXC should be in the next couple of weeks, hope weather is like it has been recently!

Got aeroplane tech to do and human performance. How many hours did you do before doing your QXC out of interest and when did you start your ppl?

The route is good i think as there are alot of landmarks (coast) etc. Caernarfon was very nice, bit windy but the setting is great.

I was on 39 hours with 6 and a bit solo. Finding a time when the weather was good took a while.
