Avgas Duty

The following appears on page 165 of the Budget 2009 “On 1 May 2009 the duty rate for light oil other than unleaded petrol will rise by 1.84 pence per litre and the duty rate for aviation gasoline (avgas) will rise by 2.31 pence per litre”. The result is that the duty payable on Avgas will rise from 31.03p/litre to 33.34p/litre.

labour's swansong

This avgas duty hike is yet another reason to head to the channel islands for fuel if you can (I was there this Wednesday taking on as much as my Monroy tanks can carry at £0.87/L).
This last budget made relocating to the CI even more attractive than it was previously - feeling suicidal, Darling?
