Henham Park Fly In May 2009

I am (for my sins) the aerial co-ordinator for the Henham Park Fly In.
This year is our fifth event and I would like to give an invitation to all PPruners to join us in the beautiful Suffolk countryside on the 10th of May.

Here is a link to the airfield guide http://www.wingsandwheels-online.co....try%20Plan.pdf

Look forward to seeing you on the 10th (I'll be the harrassed sounding bloke on tower and the Display Director)

Regards

John

Drag Queen;

I'll be there supporting VH (or at least holding him up right when he gets tired and emotional at about 18:00)

Here's a link to piccies of last year http://www.wingsandwheels-online.co....try%20Plan.pdf

I'd urge everyone to visit this event, I think it's pretty unique and deserves to have a great turnout. I went last year and there was a very relaxed atmosphere, plenty of things going on, interesting aircraft to look at and the food was reasonably priced too. Shame I can't attend this year but will definately be going again in the coming years.

Vertical hold

Congratulations on a job (two jobs) well done. For those of you who missed it, it was a good day out, lots of visiting aircraft and a well organised event. [I was in the L4 and was sorry to have had to push off early]

Excellent day ,lots of interesting aircraft and cars, good food and excellent organisation.
I would have come in the L4 but it was already booked,
instead we arrived in the Condor.
I met lots of old aircraft and vintage car friends, had a great time and thank you for a splendid day.

I flew in as a passenger in a Europa...just a 10 minute hop from a private strip near Beccles.

An excellent day out:- thank you very much, John.

My thanks to all who came for making it such a fun day, and flying with humour and great airmanship.

Lister I like Condors and was delighted to see you in one! Jaycee was it you who posted the film of the approach and landing on YouTube? From that angle it looks a lot tighter than it is.

Thanks again everybody, 2nd weekend in May again next year. Hope to see you all there.

Sorry Lister, I had an attack of housework. I'm better now.

Katamarino got there first. I should have posted the link or said Trip Reports.

Yes, that's my video on Youtube. Even the pilot (Andy...I think you know him, I was in G-EOFS) expressed surprise at how close the trees appeared to be. I looked outside the aircraft while filming and the clearance was a lot more than it appears on the video.

Even so, as I've only been able for fly 20 hours since getting my PPL in October last year , I'm glad I decided to hitch a lift!
